Hoek Group is growing very fast. Ever since 2017, when it first delivered its flowers directly to a shop in England, the company has been experiencing tremendous growth. The Rijnsburg-based trading company has seen its turnover double almost every year. It currently supplies florists in 52 countries and has branch offices in Kenya, Colombia and South Africa.
CEO Ruben Hoek (30) explains that Hoek Group is developing at such great speed in part because the company works with a lot of really keen (young) people. “There is a certain flow and energy in our company,” he says.
Hoek and CCO Gerben van Duijvenbode (33) are reminded of this whenever they take over another company. “We want to integrate these companies into the Hoek Group as soon as possible, which then often goes a bit too fast for employees, suppliers or other partners but ultimately yields the desired result in the shortest possible time.”
