The Elite Flower is one of the Colombian-American flower giants. With production sites in South America and Africa and trading offices in the US, Canada and Europe, this nursery seeks to serve all market segments.
The Elite Flower was a prominent exhibitor at Ecuador’s most recent trade fair. In the Andean country, the company added a few relevant nurseries to its portfolio, including former Dutch-owned companies Qualisa and Royal Flowers. While these nurseries continue to exist, they now fall under the umbrella of The Elite Flower, along with several other brands in Ecuador, including Bellarosa, Flower Village , Agrinag, Natuflor and Alma. “We keep the brands of existing companies and leave them largely intact,” explains Sales and Marketing Manager Pamela Duperly.
In Colombia, The Elite Flower focuses mainly on supermarkets and less on wholesalers. In general, however, the company serves the whole spectrum of outlets. The cultivation in Ecuador, for instance, is more targeted to the wholesale and quality markets. “We sell through all marketing channels, from e-commerce to wholesale, to supermarket,” says Duperly, adding that “in Ecuador, production is more fragmented.”
