Royal FloraHolland posted a profit of EUR 12 million last year. This result was achieved in part through cost savings, higher product prices, higher rates and the sale of real estate. Meanwhile, the auction recorded another loss on its Floriway service.
Interim CEO David van Mechelen had already indicated as much at the Day of the Cooperative: Royal FloraHolland (RFH) was back in the black in 2025. At the time, he did not yet want to disclose the exact profit after tax, as the auction traditionally only publishes its figures in late March. At a press conference in Aalsmeer, Van Mechelen and CFO Anton Sandler said that the auction had posted a profit of EUR 12 million for 2025, up from EUR 6 million in 2024.
The 2025 result was achieved thanks to a combination of higher revenues, cost savings and property sales. On the revenue side, the number of plants and flowers sold last year was lower than in 2024. However, owing to higher product prices and higher rates, the auction earned more in 2025 from the plants and flowers that growers marketed through RFH. Income from the rental of packaging and trolleys remained stable, whereas income from property rentals and new services increased over 2024.
