The latest edition of FlowerTrials took place from 9 to 12 June. The assortment on show featured a striking number of compact cultivars. Genetically short plants are becoming increasingly important, not only because growth regulators may come under pressure, but also because compact plants help reduce transport costs. Some propagators are focusing on robotisation, while others are moving further down the chain, seeking contact with retailers.
