Euroveiling has opened two hubs in West Flanders. In so doing, the Brussels-based auction is trying to accommodate customers and growers in the west of Belgium. It means that buyers no longer have to pick up their purchases in Brussels and growers no longer need to take their plants and flowers to Brussels.
“The hubs are meant to accommodate our customers. The distance from West Flanders to Brussels is quite substantial. If we take their purchases to the hubs, they can come and pick up the plants and flowers whenever it suits them,” explains Raf Moeyersoons, Operational and Facility Director at Euroveiling. By taking all purchased products to one point, Euroveiling reduces transport costs for its customers.
The hubs in Kortrijk and Wilrijk (Antwerp) can also be used by growers. Euroveiling has several suppliers from West Flanders, who can now bring their plants and flowers to one of the hubs. Euroveiling’s transport service will then take these products to Brussels.
